PIL

The Petitioner is filing the present Public Interest Litigation in good faith and in the interest of the public at large. The petition raises issues affecting fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution of India. The cause espoused herein concerns a large section of society who are unable to approach this Hon’ble Court on their own. The impugned action is arbitrary, illegal, and violative of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India. The authorities have failed to discharge their statutory and constitutional obligations. The inaction has resulted in grave injustice and violation of public rights. The matter involves questions of significant public importance. There is no personal or private interest of the Petitioner in the present petition. The Petitioner has not approached this Hon’ble Court for any oblique motive or personal gain. No efficacious alternative remedy is available to the affected public. The failure of the authorities to act has led to continuing harm. The issue requires urgent judicial intervention. The petition is maintainable under the settled principles governing Public Interest Litigation. Hence, this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to entertain the present PIL in the interest of justice.
